host a bbq for prostate cancer

September is prostate cancer awareness month.

"It is the most common cancer in Australia with 20,000 men diagnosed and close to 3,300 deaths each year. By hosting a bbq and asking guests to make a donation, Australians can make a significant impact in the fight against this disease and is an ideal opportunity to raise awareness about prostate cancer."

it's happenin' in the hunter.

Hello and welcome to all our new 'saucy' members!

It appears this newsletter has become a quarterly appearance,
as we were preparing for sydney's good food & wine show back in july last time we wrote. The show was fantastic exposure for relish this and many thanks to everyone who came to visit and support us. Congratulations to Suzie M from South Sydney for winning the $50 bag of relish!

We've been busy growing the business, trying to create more demand and building production up a little so far this year. From next month we will be out and about more, as we expand our reach outside our regular local markets and into new territory across Sydney as requested by many of you. We now have a little handful of stockists too, with plans to have a few more by the end of the year.

We've had some great successes over the past few months including a mention in SMH Good Living newspaper and Not Quite Nigella's famous food blog, as well as getting our saucy relishes into the hunter valley!

in the hunter valley.

Excitingly, our relishes are now at the cellar door of a few fancy wineries in the hunter valley including Ballabourneen, Tulloch and Piggs Peake. Photo above courtesy of Ballabourneen.

We're also on the shelves of The Smelly Cheese Shop in both the tempus two winery hall of food and the original store at pokolbin village.

we're a little bit famous.

Yes we were in the newspaper!
Incase you missed it here is what SMH Good Living had to say about little ole us...

"Relish is just not for nannas according to Sarah Ladyman, who ditched her corporate marketing job for a lifestyle change and started her own business last year. The relish this range is based on her home-made relish recipes including red capsicum 9with or without chilli); beetroot, apple n orange and the latest addition, balsamic red onion and lime. Chinky and flavourful, they're an easy (and gluten-free) way to boost anything
from meat, seafood and casseroles to sandwiches."

host a bbq.for prostate cancer.

Here in Sydney we're into bbq weather already and we're proudly supporting the prostate cancer foundation 'host a bbq' cause to raise funds and awareness. We're discounting online orders for any host a bbq orders to help this great cause.

We have contributed over $550 worth of relish to the foundation already through the table 4 ten organisation earlier this month and donating relish to a few 'host a bbq' efforts as well.

it's mango season.

Mango season was officially announced at Sydney Flemington Markets on Wednesday 16th September at the 15th annual mango auction. This seasons first trays of mangoes went for a whopping $25,000 with proceeds going to charity - a tradition which has been held by traders since 1990 to raise money for the Westmead Children’s Hospital.

Our much anticipated 'limited edition' mango n chilli relish is now back in production, and will be ready for re-launch in October. We will send out a quick notification when she's officially back in stock!
